The days didn't matter & years were a lifetime away.

I wanted to share two new albums that I'm excited about and currently listening to on repeat!

Go by Motion City Soundtrack - On Tuesday, Motion City Soundtrack released their fifth album, Go. This is one I was looking forward to and it definitely did not disappoint. I love this because there is so much variety - which is different than some of their past releases. Also, I can releate to so many of the lyrics - especially some of the songs I list as standout tracks. I strongly recommend that you check out this album - even if you don't love pop-punk as much as I do.

Standout Tracks: Son of a Gun, Timelines, The Worst is Yet to Come, Floating Down the River and Happy Anniversary

Also, I'm very excited to see them live at the end of June! I'm bringing my teenage cousin who has never seen them before, which is also exciting!

The Idler Wheel... by Fiona Apple - This past winter I really got into Fiona Apple, so when she announced a new album, I was very excited, especially since I had listened to all of her other releases on repeat for weeks and was ready for something new. The Idler Wheel... comes out on June 19th, but is streaming on NPR.

To me, Fiona's albums aren't easy to listen to - they require repeat listens, but are always worth it. So, after playing her new album several times, I am in love.

Standout tracks: Every Single Night, Valentine, Werewolf and Anything We Want

Now the countdown begins until The Gaslight Anthem release their new album in July. What are you listening to now? And what albums are you looking forward to?

  4. Gosh, as a fairly new Motion City fan I am still not quite over Even If It Kills Me and My Dinosaur Life, so I'm having trouble trying to listen to Go while still trying to listen to those. Life is so hard.

I wish they were coming closer to me during this tour, even though I can't complain because I just saw them at Bamboozle. But I will complain because their set was only 30 minutes and I was super tired from being pushed around by Foo Fighters fans all day. Sorry sometimes my comments turn into novels.

I should really give Fiona Apple a try.
